The Shangri-La Studio is a stunning and versatile duplex penthouse located moments from the Thames in central London (Vauxhall). This unique property blends luxury and creativity, making it the ideal location for music videos, photo shoots, content creation, and much more.

Upper Floor Highlights

• Master Bedroom: A Romanesque-Far Eastern fusion design featuring a hand-carved mahogany emperor-sized bed (larger than super king) with a golden canopy throne. The en suite boasts a jacuzzi bath and a steam shower room with a recliner.

• Upper Lounge: Relax or shoot amidst nature-inspired furniture, including a rococo cuddle sofa and wooden high-back chair.

• Terrace with 360° Views: Capture iconic London landmarks like the Shard, Big Ben, and Battersea’s “Little Dubai.” The terrace includes a rattan corner dining set and a 6-person hot tub for truly memorable scenes.

Lower Floor Highlights

• Fully Equipped Kitchen: A modern design with under-cabinet and mood lighting, perfect for lifestyle or cooking shoots.

• Living Room: A spacious and stylish area with a designer grey velvet corner sofa, biofuel fireplace, and an ornate leaning mirror for creative setups.

• Makeup/Changing Room: Dedicated HMUA space with ample lighting, a retro egg chair, full-length mirror, and private en suite. This room can also double as a shoot space.

• Second Bedroom: A dark rococo-themed room featuring a black satin king-sized bed and gothic accents.

• Wrap-Around Balcony: Lower-level balcony offering unparalleled views of London.

Pricing & Booking Details

• Rates:

• £35/hr Monday–Thursday, 10 AM–7 PM

• £45/hr Friday–Sunday, 10 AM–7 PM

• 7–10 PM: Additional £10/hr

• After 10 PM: Additional £20/hr

• Capacity: The base price allows for up to 5 attendees. We allow a maximum of 30 people, however, a Larger teams must be discussed in advance and the price will operate on a sliding scale

• Overnights & Shoot-and-Stays: Available upon request.

• Use of Property: Includes all pictured areas and amenities.

Important Notes

This is a family home, so please discuss with us ahead of time if you plan to shoot on upper levels or overnight.

The Shangri-La – House Rules

To keep things smooth and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines:

1. Under 18s: Must be declared before arrival and accompanied by a chaperone.

2. Timing:

• Please arrive no more than 2 minutes early.

• You have 5 minutes after your session to pack and leave.

• Sessions finish on time, even if you arrive late.

3. Extra Time:

• Must be requested at least 1 hour before your session ends and is subject to availability.

• Unauthorised overtime will be charged at 3x the normal rate, rounded up to 30 mins.

4. Noise:

• Keep noise to a minimum when entering/leaving.

• Music is allowed at a low volume only.

• No loitering outside, especially late.

5. Filming:

• No shooting in communal areas or outside the building.

• Lower balcony is off-limits; upper terrace is available.

6. Attire:

• Use cover-ups when moving between rooms.

• Keep doors closed during lingerie or boudoir shoots.

7. Hot Tub:

• Shower before use.

• No oils.

• Bring your own towels.

The Story Behind The Shangri-La

The Shangri-La opened its doors just a year ago, but the soul of the space has been decades in the making. Nestled in Vauxhall and crowned by a panoramic rooftop terrace and hot tub, this unique duplex penthouse is the latest in a long line of iconic creative spaces curated by husband-and-wife duo Gene and Bella — along with their beautiful little boy, who brings his own sparkle to the home.

Though it’s a family residence at heart, The Shangri-La was designed to be shared. For over 15 years, Gene and Bella have welcomed artists, photographers, stylists and filmmakers into their world. From a converted church bell tower to a 38-room manor house in Kent, Shoreditch townhouses to city penthouses, their locations have always had one goal: to inspire.

The Shangri-La is no exception. Every room is layered with texture, history, and bold personality — a reflection of the couple’s deep love for aesthetic storytelling. Their spaces aren’t just backdrops; they’re catalysts for connection. In fact, most of their closest friendships were born on set.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from the creative community, The Shangri-La has become one of London’s most beloved hidden gems.
