About HQI
HQI is a not-for-profit artist studio and creative incubator located in the former BBC Media Village in White City, London. We endeavour to serve the city’s creatives by providing a supportive and enriching sanctuary in which artists can converse, collaborate and develop their practices freely. We exist to address a crisis of displaced creative talent through the provision of accessible space and community and thereby protect London’s legacy as a global leader in the arts.
Since 2018, HQI is proud to have supported over 80 artists through our residency programme; provided access to creative facilities amounting to over 10,000 days free studio time, equivalent to £2m of in-kind support; delivered a public programme including over 70 talks, workshops, and events; attracted an audience of over 4,000 visitors; and developed an extended digital community of over 250,000 through our resident
network.
All proceeds are invested back into our artist development programmes.
