The Assembly Room is a charming upper hall at the bottom end of the Stanley Arts complex. Light and welcoming it serves as a wonderful rehearsals and workshop space during the day and can also be used as a wonderfully intimate space for parties, small scale performances and intimate gigs.
With recent investments in both the lighting and sound infrastructure in the Assembly, supported in part by Croydon Music City, we are now well equipped to support mid-scale music, dance, comedy and theatre events. We have a particular tradition of hosting family shows, music gigs and stand-up in this great space.
Additional funding from the Arts Council and National Lottery Community Fund has recently allowed us to equip the Assembly as a streaming studio to help hirers get online content out to their subscribers. The four camera setup in the Assembly, integrated sound system, and the dedicated data stream to the building, means that streams are of a consistently high quality.
