The Stanley Yard Bar is on the lower level of the decked area in the middle of Stanley Arts back yard. This large open yard is a flexible space which is used in the summer for outdoor gigs and stand up comedy. In the winter we put out marquees and gas heaters to keep our customers snug. With a range of beer on tap from local brewery Cronx and wines, spirits and cocktails, the Yard Bar is a great way to spend a lazy summer’s weekend afternoon or get a cosy outdoor drink with friends on an autumn evening.
The Yard Bar is generally open at weekends from spring through to the beginning of autumn. Every summer we run a series of outdoor events in the space. The Yard Bar also available for exclusive hire for parties, performances and gigs – either as a standalone space or as an extension to one of our adjoining indoor spaces.
Standing as it does in the centre of Stanley Arts the Yard Bar and decking is directly accessible from the main Stanley Hall, the Society Room, the Scene Dock and the Social Café.
