Hey friend,

Video may have killed the radio star, but it also launched a pop star or two…

This month we're talking history-making video shoot locations to inspire your imagination, and we show you just what stunning results can be achieved with a derelict basement space.

All the best,
Gabriel and the Team @ Tutti

English singer-songwriter Griff is only 21 and is already gaining worldwide attention. For her first American Late Night appearance with Stephen Colbert, the basement space at the Empire Film Studios in Haggerston was transformed into a moody backdrop for a live performance of 'Black Hole'.

The video highlights this basement's impressive cavernous space which features distressed brick walls, a derelict boiler room, and a disused lift shaft - creepy.

💸 From the Blog: 8 Iconic and Famous Music Video Locations

What do the Spice Girls' 'Wannabe' and All Saints' 'Pure Shores' have in common? They both have music videos that have been etched into our brains for as long as the catchy pop lyrics we really really really really want to forget.

Every sensational music video has an equally impressive location and story behind it - and some of the locations on this list may just surprise you.

🎤 Tutti's crowdfunding

We want you.

We're so excited for our first crowdfunding campaign to launch soon, and we want you, our users to get involved too. As you've been a part of our founding story, we want you to be able to own a part of Tutti, and share in our future success, for less than £20. (This is an investment opportunity, so it must be noted, your Capital is at Risk, but if you’re interested, read on.)

We've been listening to your feedback and we know that one of the most frustrating aspects of creative space hire is trying to book a place quickly once you've found it. We're building a platform which will help solve that issue with some slick, behind-the-scenes features for venue owners and managers. That, in turn, will enable you to spend less time contacting spaces and more time creating!

If you'd like to own a bit of Tutti and have your say in how we grow, or if you know of someone who'd like to invest, you can add your info here and we'll be in touch with more details.

🪐 Space Oddity: Hux Hotel

The Live Music Lounge at the Hux Hotel in Kensington offers a luxurious and slightly quirky space for a fun photo or video shoot. With its deep blue walls, inquisitive animals, and luscious textured furniture, this space has more than enough character to ignite your creativity.

P.S. Back in 2015, New York-based artist and tea-lover Ruby Silvious decided to turn her steeped tea bags into tiny canvases for doodling her daily thoughts and impressions. Now she has amassed a collection of mini travel diaries from Japan, France and Spain.
